There have been millions of us who have signed a petition against being charged for using roads yet,Tony Blair is still going to go ahead with these un-necessary and unfair road charges.
We are sick and tired of this Government forcing more taxes upon us and creating a society designed exclusively for the rich.
The Labour Party always used to be the party supporting the poor and the working class but,now they are arrogant, greedy and most of all they are ruining our once great nation.
I always used to support their polices but they seem to put road charges and anti-smoking top of their priority whilst, there are young people shooting each other and gangs getting away with murder.
Where do you think all this is going to lead to?

I'm afraid that this has been the story of Tony Blair since the 2001 elections, he and his labour party are totally absorbed with what they think is right for the country, not what the people who put them there think. They have made decision after decision that have gone against us all and when they are taken to task on it, they arrogantly defend their decisions even when they are so absolutely wrong. And once again, the public have spoken saying we don't want road charging and we certainly don't want some spy box installed in our cars so that they can track our every move, this is certainly a case of big brother is watching you! Labour have never really ever listened, they were told in no uncertain terms in 2003 that we did not want the Iraq war, that it would cause bigger problems than they already had and that it was just plain wrong, they didn't listen, and our words have now been bourne out, the 'Iraqi People' that Blair claimed to care so deeply about are in a worse situation than before the war. Please, to all the people that are reading this who voted for Labour last time, please, THINK about who you are voting for, don't vote Labour, can't you see they are destroying Britain? No other country in the world has road charging in the manner they are proposing, certainly there are toll roads, that's fair enough, but they certainly not forcing their people to have spy boxes put in their cars, talk about human rights, this goes against the very core of our civil liberty.

Good point. When you think about them asking us to pay for the roads they forget we already do with big taxes for the road fund licence and they are constantly trying to increase that, huge special car tax so that we pay more than other EU countries, petrol about the most expensive anywhere, a fortune in traffic fines for every minor infraction of the law (the highways best secret money earner) and now they say they have to charge tolls because we don't pay enough.

The nitwit who says he it a non driver and that we should pay for our 'carbon footprint' presumably doesn't understand that most people have to travel to work, which uses fuel either by public or private transport and businesses require transport to survive. As he presumably buys things he will also have to pay the extra tolls because even though he doesnt use a car personally he still has to pay them written into the overheads and selling prices of the goods he buys from the companies that have to pay the tolls.

Could not agree more! And it's leading to Blair's exit, and the New Labour party's exit, the sooner the better. Who is next in line to screw us up? No idea, but Blair and his autocratic way of doing things, while completely ignoring the worries and fears and troubles of the people. have got to stop! I voted for Blair, twice, and never have I been more disappointed in a politician or Prime Minister!

As a non-driver I am not polluting the environment on a daily basis. Maybe you should pay more. It could be called "Attributing Responsibility". Your carbon footprints are potentially very heavy and if you want your kids to be able to breath proper air (that we have always taken for granted) then a tax on "polluters" will seem very valid 20 years down the line. We can't only get "serious" about the environment providing it only affects other people.

And God knows why you brought those shootings into the equation! DID TONY BLAIR SELL THEM THE GUNS PERSONALLY? Be realistic!

banks such as maquarry want toll roads
they refined the teqnique in oz ,
its a great money earner and govt underwrites it
its predetary banking getting bank fees and buying uop control with judicial favours from govt usually with free share deals
its a cover for the peerage issue
a red herring to distract the britts from evils they rather not we have time to think about
