I had my first Ultrasound done on Feb.9 and they gave me a CD with a couple short videos and about 40 pics on it. I paid $50 for it but it was totally worth it. I was given the information while I waited for them to call me in.

It depends on how pregnant you are as to how much you'll be able to see, but I have an ultrasound picture from 5wks 5 days, with a circle round the area where my daughter was with BABY typed over it.

OBs differ so call first to see what their policy is, it will save you being disappointed on the day. We only got piccies at the 16 week one but my OB actually gave me a video of the 20 week one, where they do all the measuring and the baby is most formed and (if you're lucky) active. But the previous ultrasoud B&Ws I scanned in and sent to just about everyone on my email list.

We also did our own video at 20 weeks, but again some don't allow it. Our OB wanted to check the ultrasound first to make sure that everything was OK before we were allowed to film.

It's exciting, you'll love seeing your baby.

Most people thay will just give you pics. You can copy them. Ask before about video. Some places do it, and some do not. The 3d places will do it, and you can find one in your area, but most doctor offices will just give you pics. The 3d places are often not covered in insurance.

Most doctors will automatically give you ultrasound pictures with each ultrasound you have. If they don't, just ask.
