A question about the Wii Remote?

i got a second remote. is there a way to turn the Wii on with the 2nd remote? because so far its only doing it with the remote that came with it and to connect the remotes id have to reconnect the 1st remote... isnt there a easier way? i mean xbox has a easier way why cant the Wii?

You have to sync the second remote to the Wii. Open the battery cover on the back, with the wii and the remote turned on, and open the SD card slot on the Wii. Then press the red sync buttons. You can look at the manual for more information, but after they are synced, not for one-time use, you should be able to turn on the wii with either remote.
