I bought a Mustang, I worked extra jobs and O.T., to build a sick street machine, somebody stole it when it was almost completed, a person that I didn't even know, or get a chance to "THANK", saw it in an alley the next day and called the police, I got my car back a bit beat up but, repairable. What if that person didn't dig into there pocket for a coin to call the police ? Who cares about someones stolen car in an alley ? One of the cops that responded to the call was a Mustang enthusiast, and said "THIS GUYS IN TEARS" when he saw the car there with the hood up, and some "GOODIES" like the "Supercharger" was missing off the motor, if the car sat there another day, the cop said it would have been "BONES" in 24 hrs.

My life when I owned my navy blue 85' Honda CRX when I was 18. Was the newest car I had ever owned. Was the nicest, fastest. I had dreamed about it for over a year till I had saved up enough. Got it on my 18th bday of all days. Tore up and tormented the town with that car doing 120mph everywhere I went.
Best story out of them all.....time I ditched a cop running 125mph. He was coming up entrance ramp as I blew over the bridge, all this at about 1am, only us out on the freeway. As he kicked on his lights I was crested a slight hill in the road and construction was on the right. I downshift hard and slammed the brakes, got off the brakes, killed the lights and yanked the e-brake and slid just barely off the emergency lane past the barrels.
Just as I came to a stop......about a second later here comes the cop speeding by trying to catch up to me.
I sat there for a few mintues and then figured the coast was clear and started to move foward in the emergency lane with no headlights still. As I crested the next hill in the road I could see the next freeway exit/entrance ramp. And there was the cop, sitting at the top, standing out of the car...in total amazement that I just vanished into thin air as he had a far line of sight from where he stood.
I know it just blew his mind that I just vanished. I sat there watching him for about 5 minutes and then he finally went on and I went on to home.
That car gave me a lead foot....not to mention at least 12 tickets.

nuno...that story made me laugh. no way an '85 civic could do anything close to what you mentioned. couldn't even hit 120..or anything close to that.
