Fresh Rain. It's a calming scent. I know that candle companies try to duplicate it, but the moisture also has to be in the air for it to be perfect. : )

clean laundry
gently rotting autumn leaves
wonderful red wine
I've never (yet) smelled burning clown, but I don't think I'd like that very much.
