Compare it to how tall you are. I'm 5'-9" so it would be just a little shorter than I am if I was to lay down in there. You can convert feet to meters but I don't remember the number. I know a meter is just a little over 3 feet. So 5 feet is close to a meter and a half.

another problem would seem to be that to store stuff you need VOLUME not AREA.. 25 square feet is an area. But how tall is the bin? 1 foot? 1 meter? 2 meters? 100 meters?

The common broom stick is 5 ft long. Lay it on the floor and look at it. It is not much space. How much money do they want to rent that space? I would not pay more than $7.00 per month for such a small space. Unless you are keeping gold bars in there.
