If you add them up the total 6. If add them up three times and put them together they will be 666 and Christians will go nuts.

the central 2, with the 1 on the left hand... the three on the right.
It could be a number representing unification... synthesis.

1 + 2 = 3 ... 123 = 41 x 4 ... the 4 as an evil number and the 1 as a symbol of the simplicity of purity... unified through the 3 which could represent the ternary.

etcetera...

If you play around with ANY number long enough, you'll find "significance" to it. Besides the obvious fact that these are the first counting numbers, here some thing else I find right away:
1+2+3 = 1*2*3 (you can prove that these are the only positive conecutive numbers where this happens).

These pages also say something about the number:
http://www.biblewheel.com/GR/GR_123.asp
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/123_(number)
http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/64538.html

Again, this doesn't "prove" anything. It just shows you how to play around with math until you find something "interesting".
