When does the Spin off show Angel take place? After what buffy season?

and is angel still in 'buffy' after his show starts?

There were a few crossovers between the shows. Angel (the series) started when Angel left Sunnydale after the 3rd season, and after that time the two series occurred concurrently - 1st season of Angel during the same time period as 4th season of Buffy, etc.

I am pretty sure that show started after Buffys ended.
