Pretty tolerant actually. Having 3 children, 9, 7 and 5, makes it a prerequisite really. I have to agree though, some people will really test your patience and I guess perhaps that it's just a sign of the times. People don't seem to want to think for themselves these day or even try to enlighten themselves about much. Mostly it seems they just do for themselves and blow the rest of us!!!
PEACE

I used to be pretty intolerant of ignorant and foolish people. Life has taught me that to grow in life one should develop patience and an ability to like people since it's people who get things done on this earth! Even if some one is ignorant, I am sure they have some positives - focus on the positives.
Cheers!

Apparently, your brand of questions captures my attention as I scan the list....
I've always been pretty tolerant, but - like you - there's a point where the patience wears really thin. I am more tolerant of "plain old ignorance by itself" than I am "ignorance accompanied by ugly attitudes about others".

It's very difficult for me to deal with people who are not only ignorant, but also arrogant, self serving and opinionated.
I live in a small town after years of relative anonymity in big cities.
Dealing with ignorance is the most challenging part of my new lifestyle. If you haven't lived here for the past 50 years, you are still considered a newcomer & your whole life is up for scrutiny.
I have compassion for people who do not have the means to end their ignorance, but there are always books, internet, etc, with which to better yourself.
These people look and act pretty normal, but when they open their mouth it's like 1973.

If they are ignorant because they can't help it and are willing to learn it is cool. When they are just ignorant and real narrow minded I can't say that I will tolerate the behavior.

They're not the best teachers but we do learn love from the unloving, kindness from the unkind, tolerance from the intolerant, and manners from the rude.
I don't let anyones negative emotions control me. not anger or fear or anything else. To do so is playing into their hand and worse, loss of sense of self.
I don't allow their ignorance to make me ignorant or their rudeness to make me rude. I try to treat every one with politeness, even those who are rude to me, not because they are nice, but because I am

I won't say anything to any ignorant people; it's not worth it. But at the same time I can’t stop the thoughts going through my head. Sometimes I can't sleep.

Calm down or you end up with some major health problems. You meet ignorant people all your life so its better just to realize that fact and be a better person.

If people are open minded and want to turn their ignorance into knowledge, that's fine. But if they shoot of at the mouth about something they think they know everything about, but know nothing about, I find that difficult to deal with.
