I saw a commercial on MTV the other day and it said something similar to "all videos, all day" I started laughing so hard. I remember when MTV first came on the air (Yes I am old!) It was all videos all day, it has really gotten far off of what it was founded on. VH1 too!

I hate MTV!!!! What happened to the good old days? I can't remember the last time I actually saw a music video on that channel.

I care nothing for MTV. I used to call VH1 "VideoHell One." Now I don't think it is so bad. I often find myself saying "Back when MTV actually played music..."

Indeed. I think the whole concept of video music takes something away from the audience. All art is supposed to be subject to interpretation. Music video takes away interpretation from the audience and shows the viewer what it's all about instead of the viewer or listener coming up with their own meaning, which is art at its most effective. Nothing de-values art like a price tag.

MTV grow to be once fairly solid again at the same time as it performed music. they might to boot substitute the call of the channel to MTV street guidelines/authentic international mission. Thats all i ever see on there. I watch VH!. they nonetheless have alittle music.

Yes, MTV is terrible. I actually remember when the "M" stood for "Music". Now all they play is trash.
