ummmm yeah. I've spent a lot of time in berkeley (hippie central) and there is a ton of denim there. Also, they like to wear hiking clothes, I don't know what's up with that though!

Yes, they did. Everything was about color then. So they'd usually have colored patches all over them and had bell bottoms.
