It is infected. You should go see a doc or go back to the place that pierced it. I know that can be inconvenient tough as can taking it out. If you are going to chose not to do the things suggested at top then you need to keep it clean, no neosporin. Use salt water, yellow dial soap, make sure to move the ring up and down so the it cleans inside, if you have puss come out try squeezing the piercing (not too much) until no more puss comes out, this should help to remove the infection.

I know that my belly button hole took a good 3 years to heal up, it would crust over yellow green all the time, it never bled though. I was 16 at the time and a bit stupid so Im not sure even now if this is normal. If it is becoming tender and infected (red and swollen) i would have it looked at by a doctor. but if its just scabbing over with crust i wouldnt worry, just keep it clean. Perhaps try putting in different rings that wont rub on things as much to reduce irritation. Maybe increase the cleanings to twice a day. Oh and now 10 years later after getting mine done its wonderful, its always healthy never bothers me i never notice its there.

Personally I think belly button rings are more attractive. I have one and I didnt think it was painful. My sister has both and she said her nose hurt the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nose, and belly button. Complications can happen with either you just have to be careful not to get an infection. They both will scar but the nose would be seen more. My sister has a little hold in her nose (it is closed) but you can see where it was. It isnt really noticable but still there. And belly buttons rings leave a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. I hope this helps you decide.

The navel is a haven for bacteria. Clean it out well daily with an antibacterial soap and cotton swab.
Bacteria can reside in certain rings. Try replacing it with a good quality stainless steel, or better yet, gold ring.
If all else fails, take the ring out.
Tell your unpierced friends about your experience. It's a dumb and potentially risky procedure. Just look at all the questions on Yahoo Answers.

I got my belly pierced three years ago and it sounds like it may be infected if it's already been 6 months and it's still bleeding. All I would say is either take it out or stick through it. Keep using neosporin even though they say that dries it out. Whenever mine looks like it might be gettin infected i put neosporin on it and it heals it right up. I would stick through it b/c it eventually will get better! :)

Mine sucked at healing too. They told me to never ever pit neosprorin on mine. Use Dial (yellow) anti bac liquid soap. and also soak in epsom salt baths a couple times a day.

it's infected.... there's really not much you can do. obviously you don't wanna take it out! so clean it with peroxide 1-3 times a day, and neosporan or tripple antibiodic should be applied regularly as well.
good luck!

i wanna say to pull it out because something has gone wrong but i know how much of an inconvenience that would be so i would just keep cleaning it and leave it in.
