Amazon IS a trusted, reputable website. Like some of the other answerers have mentioned, look for a "padlock" on the bottom of the page with a 128 either in or next to it. This signifies that the site is secure and uses 128bit encryption to protect your credit or debit card information while transmitting over the web. Another good option is to pay by using PayPal, which is essentially a secure clearinghouse for electronic payments. They also use the secured 128bit encryption. If you ever have any doubt about a website, don't use it.

Nothing is safe for sure, just make sure the only time you ever enter any of your account numbers is when you personally enter the address and go to their website, do not click on any links that you may have received in an e-mail. I usually only give my credit card number when I buy things because most credit cards will cover any fradulant charges.

i've had an account with my credit card on the line for 3 years and not so much as one problem has occurred so i would yes it is safe.

It should be safe but make sure to clear your browser after you enter personal details on any site...........personally i find paypal the safest way to pay for things online,not sure if amazon takes paypal though. Good luck
