Well your best bet would be to buy a lighter foundation color, but if you don't want to do that, you could balance the darker foundation color with a loose powder color that is one shade lighter than your skin. I bought a foundation once that was a little too dark and did this and it worked, so at least I got some use out of the foundation and it wasn't a complete waste.

If your face looks too dark then it is normally the foundation that is the cause of the problem.
What you should do therefore is to take off the make up and start again with a lighter foundation.
Don't ever experiment with foundation once you have found one that works for you!
It is such an essential product that this can lead to almost dangerous results. Rather stick to one that you know works well for you and enjoy that fact - there are plenty of other products that you can experiment with instead!

You are using the wrong foundation color, it should match your skin tone, not make it darker. Also, look for natural shades for your eyes, and neutral lip colors help a lot if you want to look lighter.

I think that the makeup that you are buying is too dark, try buying a lighter color and see if this helps.

You need a lighter shade of makeup. Many places will help you find the right shade for your skin. You can also find a MaryKay consultant and they will help you find right shade in their product.
