I have many questions about watering my lawn.

1. How often should I water my lawn? (eg. every day, every other day)

2. How much water should I use?

3. What is the best time to water my lawn? (eg. morning, noon, evening)

4. Should I change how often I water depending on the season?

Please be very specific. Any information is appreciated.

1) It depends on the season, winter time i wouldn't bother watering it much because you take the change of freezing the lawn if it is too cold and the rain helps it out, but maybe once a week. Summer time, i would say maybe every other day if you use my advised time.

2) 10-15 minutes if you have a sprinkler system, i suggest only turn one or two sets on at a time if you have more than one.

3) Winter time: the hottest part of the day, Summer time: in the morning or late in the evening, if you water in the midsts of the day you will be putting cold water on the lawn and the sun will basically burn the lawn (not starting a fire, but killing the lawn)

4) Yes, and how often you water. Winter time make it less water.

Every Night, make sure you never do it while the sun is out, the water on any type of plant while the sun is out will burn the leaves as it creates hot spots, besides all plants drink at night., Try adding some Nitrogen fertilizer it will help your garden grow greener and faster, coffee grounds work if not buy some Nitrogen in any store

1. In summer every other day if it doesnt rain.... then check the soil and if dry ...waters.
2.. I leave my one sprinkler on at one place for 15 to twenty minutes.
3. In summer I water just before and during sunset... the temperatures are too hot (38Degrees C) to do it during the say or in the mornings. In winter any time during the day.... too cold to stay outside aftyer dark.
4. Yes the season tells you when and how musch water... In winter my Kikuya grows only in there roots and I soak them every third or fourth day... in summer the leaves need water and I water them very second day.
