Are you so dedicated to someone that you would never do anything with another person as long as you live? Can you truely be bonded to someone forever? Is it possible to never forsake them? You truely are a dedicated person if you die. So this one kind of works only if you die. :) Not always a happy outcome. If they cheat on you does that automaticly give you permission to cheat back? Please base this on your own personal morals and feelings, though.

LOVE is an ACTION word...

You have to make a conscious effort to keep that love alive. Some people think a wedding should be the happily ever after... that if you love someone, it should be easy... NOT TRUE... That's when the WORK begins and you learn to adjust, discuss, and compromise as necessary. Don't look at things selfishly. Remember that you are a couple and think what is best for you both... Don't think of it as "What's in it for me?" but rather "What can I do to make things better?"

My first husband cheated on me... he was very selfish though and didn't consider what was best for our family... we had 2 small children... He later tried to come back, but it had happened more than once and I couldn't put our family through that again... so to him it was not an option to come back anymore...

I have since remarried and had more children. I would never cheat on my husband and I am confidant that he would never cheat on me. If he did, I would be very hurt. (We'd have a lot of work to gain that trust back, but it is possible.) I don't believe that's a green light to do the same. Two wrongs don't make a right... it only complicates things more and hurts more people. You have to consider the person you'd cheat with, children, extended family, friends... Cheating is very selfish. ; (

I will say this again...there are many ways to let a person down in a marriage. Sex just has the biggest charge on it but it is not the most important. We just make sex the most important through our responses to an unfaithful mate. Religion plays a very big part of the sex charade as well.

I would venture to say if sex with another person is the sole cause of your leaving I bet your didn't deeply truely love your mate to begin with. Real love of another does not end with a mistake. Part of being in a full responsive partnership is taking responsebility for your culpability in a failure.

Throwing away an established life carries some major loses when it breaks apart. If you have children then the fallout is even more amplified. A reasoning person would take a long look at the consequences before ending a marriage because of a personal glitch that may have been a manifestation created by the both of you. If this is the case why should only one person in the union carry the full blame?

Nothing happens in a vacuum. There are reasons behind all actions. I know if the woman I loved very deeply had an affair I will do some major probing of her and myself before I called a lawyer. True love is hard to find in this world. Because someone slips doesn’t mean his or her love for you has ended.

It is a small mind and heart that can't forgive. The kind thing to do is allow your partner the opportunity to reenter into the marriage with full respect. This may prove to be the best thing for you. Why? You may not realize the value of this person to you life until years later long after all have been lost. Many people regret leaving a marriage over some issue after they gain the insight of the 20 20 vision of hindsight.

Hello young lady,
My wife and I are both Christians. We met at her workplace by accident. I was with several of my friends and was teasing one of the married ladies that I know very well about taking her to the movies. She introduced me to Sue. We talked and decided to go to the movies together on Saturday. The only problem was that I had already made a date for early on that Saturday morning also. This was my mistake. In any event, I picked the other girl up and took her skating then dropped her off at home, took a shower and picked up sue to go to the movies. The other girl's friends happened to see us at the movies. I was tortured by the other girl for the remainder of the school year. Sue and I went to the prom for two years, got married and have been so for 31 years. She is the Greatest thing that GOD has given me in my entire life. I have been so blessed! We have three children and one grandchild. I would not cheat on her for any reason in this world. GOD tells us there is only one reason for divorce... The partner "cheating" does not give you a reason to "cheat back", it does however give you a reason to divorce. My dad and mom have been happily married for about 55 years and they are as happy as anyone that I know. We will be yogether as long as our FATHER allows us to be. I pray that it will be awhile longer but if not then I will be in heaven with her forever! Have a great Lord's Day.

Hey:
Personally I think I cannot love someoneone truly forever!Well I used to think so but since I was cheated on all my morals and good thoughts vanished!
Life doesnot make anything easy for us humans and real love doesnot exist only for God!We have the capacity to err and this makes loving very hard!
In every rule there is an exception so I think there are people that can love forever but majority of us cannot because of our circumstances, lack of will power and human nature!

Yes i believe people can live their lives being truely devoted to each other and only each other..

The day u take ur vows, u promise to forsake all others, u promise to be with them till death do u part..Its been happening for centuries...

If ur not honest enough, responsible enough, loyal enough to live up to ur vows every day for the rest of ur life, and not just when its convient for you, then u shouldnt get married in the first place..

If someone cheats on me and hurts me then yes the bond is broken and nothing can fix it again. Then when they lie about it that finishes it off for sure. I have found out that once someone cheats(on a faithful partner) they tend to do it again.

it's possible... certainly... simply loving someone is a strong motivation to be truly honest and devoted to them. maybe that's what they call true love.. you do things without expecting anything in return. when the person you love does something that'd hurt you, you don't hurt him back but instead you readily forgive him for his faults...

let's put it this way. there's no perfect relationship. all things in this world have flaws - especially us, humans. when we are able to accept our partner's imperfections, that's the only time we're ready to submit ourselves to them forever.

i don't know. sometimes you think you can, but you can't. sometimes you think you can't, you're trying still. i think it's a matter of your heart! you need to guide your heart and lead it so it won't take wrong route or differen route. it takes a strong mind and we're weak sometimes. no one can promise anything and guarantee nothing will happen but we live under this belief that we'll try our best and hope we have the strength and persaverance that help us. I guess this is the attitude i live on and hope i can hang on to it.

Yes, It depends on how much I love them though. I don't think I'm gonna cheat If they cheat. I'll just punch them in their face and dump them.
