Big dents = big dollars!!
It also depends of the make of car you bumped into.
There's a difference between the cost of repairs to say a Corolla and a Benz.

Insurance will cover it, if you have insurance that is. But you will have to cough up the excess cost.

Some of these answers are complete rubbish. The dents in the door of a car following an accident, are one of the hardest to repair because the metal panel is springy and not more solid like a wing or body panel. Usually the body shop will change the door skin ( Door Panel) If there is slight damage to other parts of the door then these can be panel beaten out first, before fitting. As one answer says, and I don't know why someone give the thumb down. Is telephone a couple of dismantlers first and see if they have one in stock. That's your cheapest way out if your insurance will not cover it. You never know, you might even get one the same colour if your car is, as from the factory. If the other person hit you. Do you have any witnesses to claim this from their insurance. Cost in the UK about £500 Sorry don't know how many dollars. I think its about $300 !! but not sure.

Depends on a lot variables, if its just a dent it can be fixed pretty easily. If paint was removed they will have to paint that whole panel and depending on the color and whether or not they can match it other non damaged panels of the car may need to be painted as well to blend it. It also depends where the damage is, and whether or not hey will have to remove windows, tail ights etc to perform the service. Make of the car usually doesnt matter because you're not paying for parts your paying for paint and labor. If you have to get a new paint job it can cost anywhere from 600 - 2000 dollars depending on how much of the car has to be painted. Your best bet is to get estimates and shop around. I hope I was of some help.

There is just no way to answer your question, because you didn't say what kind of car it was.

Is it a brand new model, or a ten year old vehicle? What kind of car? What model (sports car, SUV, compact car, station wagon, coupe, 2-door, 4-door, hatchback, ?)

What SIZE dent in the right back door? HOw deep? How large in inches? How much paint? How much chrome? IS the door able to be closed and locked? Can it be opened? Can the window be rolled down? Does it affect the frame, or just the door itself?

So, you see, it could be anything from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on the facts you didn't bother to mention.

Dents are free. It's the fixing them that's not.

Seriously, it can really depend on the car, and where exactly it was dented and how severe it is. They'll probably have to take it in and get an estimate.

It also may depend on how old and crappy the car is and whether or not they even care much.

Usually when a door gets damaged, it's best to get a new door and have it sprayed up. The guy painting it will take out the glass, mirror, winder etc. When the new door is painted, he puts them back on. Don't know the cost but it's the best thing to do if the dents are serious.
