I mean Dusty Rhodes was left in the ring with Umaga to be beat down. I mean how long does it really take to get a chair and come to your partners aide??

Piper is still fighting CANCER. That is a long hard fight. He probably values his health more than hitting Umaga with a chair. The WWE writers probably told him to take a long time. If they did not tell Piper anything about Umaga coming to ring side they told Rhodes. They got what they wanted. A schocked Piper. It probably took him a while to figure things out.

i dont think it would be good for pipers health to be in the ring with a 350 pds wreaking ball when hes not full recovered from cancer yet. thats why i wouldnt be surprised if mick foley tries to step up to the plate to fight umaga at wrestlemania to protect the legend name

Maybe the Scriopt writers wrote it like that. The script writers wanted him to delay the chair situation.

The WWE writing staff said to take that long...to Piper. Besides, he just got done battling CANCER, for cryin' out loud! Cancer, then Umaga? Uhhh...no thanks, I'll pass!
