I have a gigantic apricot tree and I've been cutting away the branches and I felt like I was wasting them.

Well, grafting is not starting another tree. If you were talking about a willow or a poplar, you can. Take a healthy limb and simply put it in water till it grows some substancial roots and then plant in the ground. As for your apricot, if you don't graft, chip it and use the chips for mulch or for smoke flavor on the BBQ.

Yes. If you really like the tree, you can graft a branch to another apricot seedling. I have done this with apple trees.

you can cut them up into cutting and dip them in a root hormone and place them in a sand bed they will root
