There are deffinetly a lot of movies out there.
For the girl:
Flicka
Yours, Mine and Ours (hilarious!)
Any of the Harry Potter movies
Cheaper by the dozen 1 or 2
Click
High School Musical (really cool)
Material Girls
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (very good)
Hoot
RV
Aquamarine
Bridge to Terabithia (it will come by the time you need it)
New York Minute
For the boy:
Flushed away
Daddy Day Care
Star Wars
Are We There Yet
The Spongebob Movie
Barnyard
Open Season
How To Eat Fried Worms
Cars
The Ant Bully (really cute)
Ice age: the Meltdown
Over the Hedge
Monster House
Cars
Shrek 1 or 2
Some you can share:
Night at the Museum
Big Fat Liar
Herbie Fully Loaded
The Shaggy Dog
Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties
Take it from an 11 year old. I totally know what movies kids my age enjoy! (My little cousin's birthday is coming up so I'm probably going to get him some of the movies on the list) I hope this helps!

i understand that it is not a caricature besides the undeniable fact that the Chronicles of Narnia is an effective one. also Lilo & stitch, Ice Age the first one because I heard the second one one has some undesirable language in it, The Incredibles, A computer virus's existence, looking Nemo

Monsters Inc - absolutely the best
The incredibles
Antz
Shrek 1 (however, I fear that kids do not really enjoy it, the humor is too adult)

Shrek or Madagascar. Both are great for ALL ages not just kids.
