It really depends on what movies they already have, what their interests are and what their parents think is alright.

"Flicka" would be a good choice for your boyfriend's sister. Maybe something starring Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, check with the parents on first (find out which ones they own). "Charlotte's Web" should be out on DVD in march. "Cinderella 3" just hit the stores this month.

For the boy, find out what he is into right now. "Race For Your Life Charlie Brown" is a full length Peanuts movie made back in the 70's but it was fun, light and entertaining enough; but doesn't fit any real catagories kids would think of (cars, pirates, Sponge Bob, Barbie, etc). If he likes cars, then introduce him to Herbie, the Love Bug (there is a 3 film set available at a good price). Pirates are little tougher; look for "Treasure Island", "The Muppet's Treasure Island" or "Blackbeard's Ghost".

If you want to get them one movie to share, "Night At The Museum" should be released soon. "Open Season" just hit the stores and "Flushed Away" will be soon. Oldies include "Big Fat Liar", "Fraggle Rock", "Madagascar", and "A Fish Tale."

If you think you should go with something spiritual, "Joseph King Of Dreams" or "Prince Of Egypt" should hit the spot. Personally, I would go with "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"; but that might be a bit too sexy in places for the kids.

flushed away, 66,or try some old ones like labrinth, grease, they might enjoy them i get dvds every weekend for my kids and we have a dvd night on a friday after school, it costs a fortune if you go for new releases but things like labrinth, my kids were glued to the tv. ferris buellers day off, dirty dancing. if the kids are gona watch these films by themselves then u will have to stick to what they no and like but if its a gathering in front of the tv with some popcorn then almost anything good will do.
