On what day does he show up?
Also during the winter I try to catch the underground bugs I can't hear them do you have a technique to catch them?

He shows up randomly, but I forgot whether Copper tells you about him or not.

Sometimes, you can see animal villagers staring at the ground--that's where the bugs are.
