There is nothing projected to hit the earth untill 2036. In 2036, NASA's NEA department, (near earth astroid) predicts an asteriod to hit the earth 3%. So to answer your question.....not soon.

It's not a question of if, but when. In our lifetimes? The chance is almost nil. In order for an asteroid to alter the Earth's climate and atmosphere, it would have to be very large. It's not likely that anything that large will hit the Earth in the next 100 years. It could happen though.

It seems to happen about every 60 to 100 million years. The last time was the one that whacked the dinosaurs (65 million years ago)

Probability of it happening in our lifetime? Fairly small. But it only takes one to ruin your whole day ☺

No it wouldnt be cool...we'd be dead! In our life time...slim...eventually 100%.
