That's precisely why I try to avoid saying that anything is definitive.
I've had to revisit things I've said and felt foolish for calling them "definitive."

*shrug* everyone should be subject to change....it keeps an open mind. If you thought you were definitive on a subject but heard a really well thought out, factual cantour "debate" to the definitive subject at hand then the logical thing to do is revaluate you're thinking on the subject. Not saying you should change it...u may come to the conculsion after u gave it more thought from another point of view that your first opinion was what you are more comfortable with....so then yes your decision would be definitive then. But at least you were open minded enough to exercise another point of view.
