i feel for you...when i was young my family went to the river for the day, and i went exploring...i made friends with 2 stray puppies...i so hoped i would get to keep them...but when it was time to go home, and i was walking along the dirt road looking for everyone else and keeping the puppies out of the road when cars came...my family (2 uncles and grandma) drove up behind me, made me get in car and leave pups behind. that was hard and i kept looking back as we drove away...and i saw a brown truck whom i protected the pups from earlier coming behind us, and swerve purposely towards the pups and run over one. that nearly killed me...but it was worse becaue my uncles wouldnt let us go back to try to help the pups.

It's the worst feeling in the world. It makes me want to throw up. I saw a lady back over a beautiful pure white kitten. She must have just hit part of it.
It started hopping around, kinda spazzing out, then it laid down and died. You could see the bright red blood on it's beautiful white fur. I just felt sick.
This happened quite a few years ago and I couldn't get it out of my mind for a long time. Everytime I see a pure white cat, I still think about it.
Another time we were driving down a 2 lane highway for a good 30 miles. Where I live there are wild box turtles seen on the roads everywhere. This year there happened to be more than usual. The pickup in front of us was purposefully running over each one.
It was so disgusting and sickening to see that someone could be that cruel. My husband kept trying to pass him, but could never get a chance.
I felt hopeless, there was nothing I could do. I finally shut my eyes and just started crying. He finally turned off the road. I'm sure I seen him run over at least 20 turtles for no good reason at all.
I just don't understand how people can be so cruel.

I saw a cat get run over. The cat was in the cross walk and had the green light. A man in the turning lane made the right turn and made a lame attempt to go around the cat, but just ran it over. It managed to crawl to the sidewalk while all traffic stopped and watched. I was so angry at that man. I could have beat the crap out of him. He couldn't wait 5 seconds so the cat could cross safely. How cruel!!!
That was 15 years ago.

I still remember a bird that hit my windshield in drivers education (many years ago.) I often remember the animals I see. After years have gone by, I still can picture those animals on the side of the road. It tears me up inside. Especially after my cat ran away and I saw a squished kitty on the road by my house that looked a lot like my cat. I actually cry in my car sometimes when I see a dead animal. It is usually because I imagine them crawling to the side of the road in immense pain and dying after being hit. I often think about how mad I am at humans for being so selfish and insisting on driving vehicles capable of causing that kind of pain and suffering.

Saw my brother accidentally run over my rescued cat. The head was smashed into the ground and the body started to do laps around it. Never will forget that , but it also taught me a valuable lesson about taking care of my pets. I also had my Rott walk out in front of some methhead, she got a broken leg is all. lucky

I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it, i would have to take the dog to the vet. The other day I almost ran over a cat, and i keep thinking about that cat the entire night. I know I still didn't run it over but I keep thinking about I like I DID run it over

It's an awful feeling. You would think that it gets better the more you see, the older you get. It doesn't. I was a nurse and saw the worst. That never got easier, either. I can't stand to see anything suffer. Sorry you had to see that.

I'd cry!!
A van in front of me ran over a squirrel the other week but didn't kill it out-right I felt sad all day at work. Someone said to me that I should have ran over it to 'finish' it off, and part of me wished I had, but I don't think I would of been able to do it.
