is it?

It all depends on what you define as evil.
Also a lot of people are inclined to do different things it is not like we are all inclined to do the exact same thing.

I see people do good as much as evil. most people will help you out if you need it. the blizzard was a good example all kinds of people where helping strangers get cars unstuck. i helped someone on my walk back from class the other day.

You just notice the evil more. Also if you watch the news they report the bad news not the good news most the time because it gets better ratings and they are there to make a profit.

As a society, most strive for perfection. This creates a backdrop where wrongdoings are starkly illuminated, and even small "evils" are blown rather out of proportion. Also because of this, good deeds are often thought of as obligations and not in need of congratulations; while bad ones are most always pointed out. So the human mind is not inclined to do evil; it just may seem that way.

In another sense, "evil" is often defined as hurting another, no matter in how small a way. To survive, this is necessary; after all, it is very hard to get on with life without lenience in your quest for kindness. So it is not that we are inclined, but we are required to be rather unfriendly or worse every so often.

It's not. If it were, the human population would be a heck of a lot smaller.

If anything, the normal adult human mind is significantly skewed toward socialization and beneficial cooperation. Despite the wars and other human atrocities, the positive (re: good) achievements of human cooperation tower thousands of times larger than the entire compilation of the most evil of acts enacted by the human mind.

We are inclined to seek "the path of least resistance" when we are going about, conniving to get what we want. That pretty much says it all. We aren't , so much, inclined to do evil, as we are to, at all costs, get what we want. Is that the same thing?

The reason is we have a sin nature that causes us to sin or in other words do evil. This sin nature is the result of us eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which God (the true god not Budda, Alla, or Zeus, but God with a big G) comanded us not to eat from.

You must have answered some multiple choice questions
in your school. Only one of them is correct and others are
misleading. Similarly, it is a test conducted by the Almighty.
It is intended to check how you conduct your self. Those
who pass will learn the code of restraint aginst evil.
Self experience is better than any learning from others.

Normal human mind (normal is emphasized) tends to go that way ,which is easier and attracts it. We all know that everybody wants that extra edge over others and in the process of attaining it our mind looks for the short cuts. IN the fight between good and evil the decisive things r these short cuts. GOOD always preaches for hardwork and control of mind and soul but EVIL pleases us by showing the materialistic results that we gonna get by following it. Normal human mind just see wat the evil wants him to see...and thats coz we r living in the materialistic world ,where competition between us takes over our approach towards life. BUT there r others who hav not sold their souls to the DEAMON.....and these r the people who r called the FIGHTERS...and due to them only , peace and harmony sustain its ground. I know some of them and they are called shaolin monks.

We make ourselves believe that it is best for ourselves. Humans are generally very selfish, and since sin disguises itself as beautiful until the consequences are made very obvious, of course we want it. Sometimes we consider the consequences, but then we dismiss it, thinking that it can't be so bad and that we can handle it. The road to Hell is the broad road. We don't always see Hell. We see the broad road.

1- If evil is redefined as ignorance; (most ppl) then you might have a chance of understanding why the normal mind attracts disharmony. As Elvis Presley once said: " its the animal in me baby"

If by evil you mean ego, then there's nothing we can do about it, that's what we are and the mind does not know any better.

If you build a machine to run only one program, you should not expect it to run two, or would you?

We are ego machines!0!
