I have many favorites. For classics, I say try reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Tess of the Durbervilles by Tomas Hardy, or Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. For more modern books, I recommend The Joy Luck Club or The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, The Secret Life of Bees and The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd, The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom, and Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel. If you don't like any of those, message me, because I have plenty more books that I love.
Oh...and if you don't mind something meant for young adults, try reading The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. It's the first of a trilogy; the other two are The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.

I loved Gone with the Wind. It's a long read, but you will feel very accomplished once you finish. I'm a big fan of the movie and there are a lot of details and story lines that were eliminated from the movie. So, it's interesting to see the differences between the two.

Well, it depends on your preference and age. Here are some series that are pretty good no matter the age: Harry Potter Series and Eragon and Eldest. I would recommend Garth Nix if you like fantasy and if you're a middle school student like me.

A beautiful book my mom gave me after she read it called "The Crystal Cave" it's about merlin the magician only a fairly different tale. It's very fantasy like, yet beliveable.

Sleepers (older book) because it was unexpected and a quick read. Kite Runner (new book) because it really makes you think about culture and how you treat others.
