I have cried when I saw photos of my husbands after their death... tears of photos of us looking so happy. But mixed in the sorrow of loss were tears of gratitude and happiness for the times we had.

The one that hits me hardest is a black & white of my most beloved husband. He had his pic taken beside his cottage on the Australian gold coast. He spoke of how when we finished immigration, etc, we would spend weeks there alone away from our friends and families. He even wrote me a whimsical poem to go with the photo. A week later he was dead. That photo just makes me think of the things we never got to share, even a first argument!

When I look at photos of my girls when they were little, at their little naked bodies in tubs, pools and in gardens, or doing silly childhood things, they always make me smile. If I am in a "mood" sometimes one will set of tears of happy memories.

i saw a picture of a really tall guy getting blown by a midget girl, and she was standing on tiptoes. I laughed for like 2 hours and cried my eyes out.
