b-sides were originally songs that were on the flipside of vinyl record, The popular song would be on one side and this b-side would be on the other. Basiclly it was a way for artists to get their less known songs heard by everyone.

A B-side relates back to when singles were released on tape. The single would be on the A-side of the tape, with another song on the B-side. The B-side track would rarely get played on the radio.

There are no "B-sides" on a CD. The tracks are all on the same CD, unless you have a double album CD. The B-side tracks that would have been on the B-side of a tape should follow on the CD after the inital A-side tracks.

There isn't one, just on records and cassettes. If a record or cassette was recorded onto a CD, the B side would be the songs on the B side of the record or cassette.
