Just the idea of being able to go down the hill w/out holding onto anything, makes it more thrilling. Basically for the thrill of it.

Funny you ask... I'm usually one to hold on tight when on a roller coaster.. but one time, I let go and raised my hand... and it actually felt better... less scarier somewhat. coz when you're holding on to something tight, you kinda feel more nervous when gripping onto the bars or watever. but when you let go and feel the air 'n all, it's more relaxing in a way... and u feel free.

IT is just an idea of going down a hill w/out holding on. Some people think it is fun, too.

Its an extra adrenaline rush since you are not hanging on to anything, so you feel more at the mercy of the ride.

alot of people feel like it gives them extra adrenaline because they aren't holding onto anything and your just sort of flying. I am one of those people who holds onto the safety bar until my knuckles turn white. Just getting on those things is adrenaline enough! :P
