You can and should do a monthly breast self exam. No, you can not learn how to do this from the internet. The internet cannot show you how much pressure to use, what areas to cover, or what healthy breast tissue feels like. Once you have learned this from a doctor or a nurse, the internet can serve as a reminder, though.

See your doctor and ask for a breast exam (there will be a nurse present) and to be taught how to do a breast exam. It can help to save your life.

Perform a self breast exam. All women should do them once a month. After a while you will get to know what your breasts normally feel like, so if a lump appears, you will know it.

If you are afraid you have a lump in your breast right now, go see your doctor. It is better to be safe than sorry.

I included a link to how to do a self breast exam. Self breast exams should do done monthly. You should also be going to the dr. yearly for a breast exam (along with a pap) or mamogram (if you are over 35). My gyno told me that caffine can cause deposits in the breast and may feel like lumps. If you think there is something wrong, go see a dr. asap. The sooner they catch it, the better.

It is really hard to tell on your own. You need to get a mamogram. If you suspect something insist that your doctor refer you, don't take no for an answer. My doctor actually felt a lump on me then told me to go home, take Aleve and he'd check it in 6 months! Doctors usually don't take things seriously at first. Insist on a mamogram.

Rub them in circles with your fingers all over. If you feel a lump that's bigger than normal (our breasts are glandular, so you will feel tiny lumps), check it again a week later.
