Your best bet is to ask her physician...it seems to me that she should not have to avoid any of the average techniques simply because it is a great form of therapy for most people with chronic pain of any kind. I would not think she should be jumping into the pool...doing cannonballs or anything like that.
I am sorry she has to deal with such pain.....seems that she should be able to do most activities that would not causing jarring on her back and legs.
What about kiddy yoga???

If she can do it,let her by all means.
Here's the text from answers.com about the condition;

Treatment;
Bed-rest will relieve the symptoms to some extent, but will not be effective in terms of the production of a cure. Similarly, pain killing or anti-inflammatory medication or physiotherapy have only a temporary palliative effect. The only effective long-term curative treatment, if symptoms are sufficiently severe to warrant it, is by reconstructive surgery and fusion of the affected vertebra to its lower neighbor. As the development of a spondylolisthesis will commonly destroy the intervertebral disc, this will usually also need to be removed during the same surgical procedure.
All the best to you .
