see if one of the guppies is noticably paler or pinker where the other would be blacker or just darker. it isnt always a case of which ever one is skinnier because they will gobble the babies up as fast as they can have them, sometimes gorging so much they kill themselves. it is the rare guppy that wont eat her offspring, but they do exist, i know i have had one or two. here is a link...compare the picture of the guppy on the top of the page to the one where they are pointing out the gravid spot...the one on top is what one looks like who has recently had her babies.

The one that got thinner and has no gravid area on her belly is the one that gave birth. They will all eat the baby fish if you leave them together.Other than that, you cannot tell which one it was,and doesn't really matter.

The pretty fantails are the males and the plain ones are female. Two females cannot produce babies without a male sorry!

It doesn't matter.
The mama's don't take any care of the babies, and will actually eat them if they have the chance.

It was probably the one that got skinnier, but there is no way to tell for sure. Why does it matter?
