beautiful illustrations in seed catalogs so you can see what you planted would look like if they had ever come up?

Yeah for real. Mine almost never look like the picture. And like you said, IF they come up lol I just put the packet on a stick in the ground and show everybody what I could have had!!!

Yeah. I personally have a black or brown thumb; nothing I plant grows except zucchini, which you absolutely cannot help growing. It comes up even if you don't plant it!

I bet those pictures aren't even of real flowers--mine come up kinda scrawny looking
