More expensive flash drives can have fingerprint readers on them. And some come with security software on them. But a simple and cheap or free way to protect your data is to put it in a ZIP file encrypted with a password. Various archiving programs are capable of doing this in various ways. In any case, the person could
get your data off the disk, but they would be unable to read the data, because the encryption algorithm is nearly impossible to crack.

You can password folders and individual files. But that's about it. You can't (To my knowledge) actually have a password window pop up to allow you to the USB/Flash or pretty much any device period once you plug it in. Un-heard of.

use folder lock. it's easy and simple.
