first two. Are there any details that I should pay particular attention to in these books that will be beneficial in the reading/clues for the future books?

I wouldn't bother focusing on particular details. That takes the fun out of it. Go with it. Pick up Prisoner of Azkahban (however you spell it) and enjoy. Get lost in the world. If you search out details, you'll ignore the plots. Take in as much as you can and keep going. A lot of the details, sadly, I find amount to nothing in the big picture. The first hundred pages of Goblet of Fire bored me (the rest was great, so stick with it).
Pay attention to the main characters and just enjoy the storylines. Characters return, and you'll need to know who they are. Trivial details do not return. If they do, you will probably remember it from a previous book and find yourself pleasantly surprised. If you don't remember it, I guess Rowling failed to emphasize it, and she is to blame.
When you're done with Rowling, move on to Roald Dahl...he's even better.

confident i'm particular they're going to. I babysit 2 little boys who're 8 and 3. They LOVE Harry Potter. The older one is familiar with it and follows the plot and is incredibly in contact with the entire tale, and the three year old does not realize it in any respect, yet his brother's and his mothers and dads' and my enthusiasm for the books is so infectious that he won't be able to get sufficient. i think of that Harry Potter will stay universal through fact human beings will proceed to proportion it with the greater youthful generations.

ALL details are going to be important. Pay attention to places, relationships, incidental characters (even in the Muggle world)...literally everything. She's wonderful at weaving storylines that only reveal themselves 2100 pages and 5 books later...and then you're like "DUH! I should have remembered that from the first chapter of the first book!!!!" By the way, the first chapter of the first book is one to memorize and read over and over again before starting a new book.

Just make sure you pay attention to any unanswered questions. They will be brought up in very obvious ways (and some will be answered) in the next books. It's not very subtle, you won't miss anything. Just read, and enjoy!

HUGUES! don't ruin books or series for people. It is rude.

Everything just remember the relationships between everyone. Know the spells that are being taught and just look for the abnormal. They are pretty straight forward so you should be ok.
