I am an honest man and I always tell the truth as I am telling you now that I do not lie, not any more. I tried telling lies i the past that could not keep up with them, as I am not very good at remembering things especially when that are the things that make me feel bad, which I assure you I am not. So, I decided to be honest and truthful i my dealing. Now, if I ever tell a lie it is for the purpose of something good that I see in doing so in the end, or when unfortunately I am under pressure, which I am working on. But I am of the opinion that no life can ever be absolutely truthful and hundred percent honest, imperfection do show up in human character every now and then, they do catch us unawares at times, but our intentions should be right and good, that is what matters. In this regard I remember a quote which is not one my favourites but is nearest to hand at the moment:
That lies should be necessary to life is part and parcel of the terrible and questionable character of existence. NIETZSCHE

Yes, I've told lies.
I don't think that many of us haven't. Even when we don't want to (and try really hard not to).
We often tell them to avoid 'being wrong' or make someone else think better of us. It's part of being human, our nature's a bit flawed.
But DON'T think it's OK!
It's really hard, but it's better to say, hey I botched that one, or I was wrong there, than take the easy way out.
If we're really confident in who we are (if we know ourselves), we'll be able to do that.
And DOES it really matter WHAT other people think?
Our REAL friends, will always stand by us, and love us no matter what we do;-even if sometimes they'll tell us that we're acting like a wally....
Re the judge, I've only ever talked to one and that was social chit chat, so no to that part of your question.
' hope that answers your q-sw

Everybody lies some of the time, some lie most of the time. Lying to a judge is unlawful and can result in prosecution, I have never lied to a judge.

Yes, but learned when very young that telling the truth calmly is best. You don't have to remember what you said - and telling the truth puts the initiative in your own hands, removes fear, and makes others wary of you because they know their own fearfullness. It also clears away confusion - you know who you are dealing with (from their response), and so do they. So you get self-respect and the respect of others. On the other hand if a lady friend asked me whether I like her dress, and I didn't, I might say it doesn't flatter her as much as I think it should - rather than say I think it's awful! If one wants to tell the truth, a friendly smile is vital, and so is tact!

Not to a judge or to be malicious. But I have told white lies usually to protect myself or others .I would think most people have told lies at some point in their lives.
