What are the chances of employment as a seacrew around vancouver waterways?if you are not a canadian?

I took an Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver and I don't think I met more than a couple Americans or Canadians in all the crew members we met - so I would say very good, unless the cruise lines don't allow local hiring. Maybe you have a different idea of seacrew, but it might be worth it to call or check out the web sites for Princess and other cruise lines that sail out of Vancouver.

Depends on the port of origin or registration of the ship. If it isn't Canadian registered, your chances would be pretty good.
