Often when your having period cramps your intestines can be aggravated causing gas which may smell worse than usual. This is especially true if your cramps are more severe.

Just before and during your period your hormones are a little different than at other times. Could be its just higher octain gas!

During your period you could have some diarrhea...gas may not be all that you pass....

get your belly checked by your gyn or family doctor.
