they have awesome players but they just don't seem to mesh every game.when they do look at the teams they beat!!!!!!!i think given time ken hitchcock will pull them together.look at what he is already getting out of federov and nash.their time is coming,watch for them to be a contender in the next couple of years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a big blue jackets fan. The fans that only cheer on the team when they do well and are the first ones to boo when they aren't is the typical Columbus attitude! People here only care about Ohio State. You should hear how people are down on the Buckeyes when they lost the National Championship game. There is not a lot of support here. My best friend and I go to a lot of the games and have a goal to visit every arena when the blue jackets are playing them. We are not fairweather fans like most. We do have some great talent that needs to be supported. Booing when a team is on the ice is not the support that the team needs. They have gone through a lot of changes this season. I think every team should watch out for the Blue Jackets next season! Lets Go Blue Jackets!

The Blue Jackets are a lot like how the Nashville Predators were in their first few years. However, I don't think there is a light at the end of the Jackets' tunnel. Not only do they have the worst team name in the history of major sports, but they have an extremely underachieving team. The NHL needs to move the team to a better hockey city like Hartford, Quebec, or somewhere new like Seattle or Portland. People in those cities will go see hockey no matter how bad their team is.

Now this is a team that has tons of potential, lots of great players, and since their new coach arrived, Hitchcock, they have been looking better and better. I don't think they can make the playoffs this year, But next year I would say they will be in the hunt late in the season. They have a great franchise, and I love the fact that they got some awesome vets in Foote and Federov, and of course Nash and Zherdev will be great players for a long time. I'm a fan

Fairly decent talent player-wise, questionable coaching. Galant was criticized for not being able to use the talent he had been given to it's full potential and abruptly fired. The coaching situation could be getting worse though as some of the scouting talent as it looks like Dean Blais may bolt to return to North Dakota to coach in the minor leagues in Fargo ND. They should really try and retain him and try to maintain some continuity. Blais knows how to build a team and win. All in all I would give them C+. Not a playoff team by any means of the imagination.

Not the best name in hockey-only better than the Ducks.
Not the best fans in the game-better than Ducks, Devils, Thrashers, and Predators.
Not the best team in the game-better than the Flyers.
Cool Building.
Won't make the playoffs this year.
Or next.
With the right moves maybe 09 playoffs.
Need to trade Federov.
Need an identity-a style of play.

They need to build the team around Nash and get better players to compliment him. Trade Sergei Federov at the deadline and get something in return. They have a great coach that will turn them around in 1-2 years. too late this year...
