sweetie, babies will do this. you will have many sleepless nights to come.
babies sleep patterns will change constantly till they are a bit older (around 2-3yrs old). try and sleep when he is sleeping. get someone to help out for a few hours so you can get things done or shower or nap.
and be patient! it's a hard haul, but this is just the way babies are. keeping them awake or depriving them of sleep when their bodies tell them they NEED it, can be harmful to their health actually, so just try to work out a schedule that accommodates HIM.

Little ones are used to being rocked to sleep in your womb while your were active during the day and then bouncing around when you were sleeping at night. That takes awhile to change. Don't keep the baby up but do try to show him that awake in the day is more fun than awake at night. Be all business at night and try not to play, cuddling is fine, but don't be funny. You can wake him up 10 minutes earlier than he usually would during the day to try and reset his clock but it will just take time. Keep the house and his room bright during the day and very dark at night. And try to sleep when he is if possible s that you don't get too tired.
Some babies have trouble sleeping in the quiet of the night, turn on a fan or a radio very low to give him some background noise and start now making a nightime routine. A book, a cuddle, some songs, a bath, pick suff that you can and will do every night to help set the tone, this will serve you both as he ages. Good luck, he will develop a more normal schedule eventually.

It's also likely that his little belly is causing some discomfort as he figures out all those sensations--most newborns get more gassy at night, and their bodies are digesting and working towards bowel movements. Both my babies were fussy at night until about 3 months, as they squirmed and strained and reacted to all of the strange sensations going on in their bodies. Sleep when he sleeps during the day if you are sleep deprived! And yes, keep the nap space light during the day--make it clear that it's daytime.
There are few long stretches of sleep with a baby this young. They still need to wake a lot to eat, as breastmilk digests quickly. Soon enough there will be longer and longer stretches.
Try to go with the flow and trust that it will get better soon. Good luck!

babies sleep A LOT, and need to, so don't necessarily keep him awake at this young age, but i do agree that maybe getting him up a little earlier from his day time sleeps may make him more ready for the night time, but many babies don't sleep through the night til they are several months old...and i really agree with not making the house a 'quiet zone' during the day when the baby is sleeping, because if you do, then later the least little thing will wake them up and you will have more trouble. run the vaccuum, radio, whatever, they will get adjusted to it, and don't rush them home to only sleep in 'their' bed, or you may have problems there, too. right now, though, you may just wish to take advantage of the day naps and sleep yourself if you can! congratulations on the little one!

New born baby's normally do not run on a normal schedule. He should settle in to some kind of routine in time, right now he is still adjusting to being out of the womb where there is no night or day. He'll sleep when he wants and be a wake when he wants. Just tough it out. Good luck

the suited element to do is to stimulate the toddler for atleast a pair hours until eventually now bedtime and there could be a series bedtime. There are a number of the thank you to try this, attempt patting the toddler on the in the back of, making a music, taking them outdoors in the gentle, laying them in the floor for tummy time, doing toddler exercising(examples:the bicycle, hug the toddler, stretching her palms up and out) then provide her a tub a million hour until eventually now bedtime. After tub time message her throughout with lotion and then provide her a bottle. in case you like rocking you could rock her and then lay her down. under no circumstances carry off on feeding by using fact a toddler can dissipate too lots energy with the help of going hungry and that they're going to loose weight and their "fat" is what they use to stay heat. attempt feeding her approximately 3 hours until eventually now bedtime so she has at the instant eaten. this might make all the different steps extra basic. undergo in strategies whether her eyes at the instant are not open if she is being inspired she is utilising power and getting drained and could sleep longer. she would be able to finally get her "sleep clock" heading in the right direction. With babies it in easy terms takes a pair of days. solid success

you have to making understand day and night.
our pedi told us that about 9 or 10 pm you have to turn lights off and speak soft to your family or your husband.
And during the day make noises even when he is asleep, keep the TV on and loud.
and he will understand day and night,
we did that,,t and my baby understood quickly.

At night keep it dark even when you are feeding him do not play or stimulate simply feed and keep it low key. During the day don't shelter him from noise or daily activities keep him where the action is even when he naps.
