How much does using marijuana affect the chances of concieving?

Me && my partner have been trying to concieve for a little more than a year now && he's been been using marijuana for a little more than 4 years. && I've been using it for about a year & some change.

Effects on Females
The use of marijuana has the potential for even more serious consequences for a female’s reproductive system. Since a female is born with a lifetime supply of eggs, when these are damaged, there are no replacements. This may create fertility problems when a woman gets married and wants to have children. Marijuana acts on the female reproductive system in various other ways:

Decreases the level of female hormones
Defective menstrual cycles occur three times more frequently than in non-users
Normal functions of ovaries can be altered
THC can accumulate in breast milk

Effects on Males

Smoking marijuana can cause a temporary drop in both teenage and adult male hormones. Heavy and prolonged use can alter male hormones enough to cause serious damage to physical and sexual development in males such as: decreased sperm production, an increase in abnormal sperm and a decrease or loss of sexual desire

Are you inquiring for marijuana that you smoke, because there's a medical marijuana that you're taking up a pill type which does no longer supply that top feeling yet enables you.I have by no potential as a nurse for 35 yrs heard of marijuana getting used for melancholy with distinctive drugs available for melancholy.I doubt that anybody will employ you if you're effective for marijuana.

Well, not to seem cold, but I would hope that conception would be impossible while actively using marijuana. (It's not impossible, but pot can have a detrimental effect on sperm.)

Babies and children need clear-headed parents. Believe me, it's hard enough knowing what to do when, without the impediment of pot, alcohol or other drugs. Not to mention that smoke (tobacco & marijuana) is really bad for mom, dad and especially baby.

If smoking pot is your priority now, stick with it and postpone bringing a baby to the bongfest. When you outgrow the need to get high (uh, it's still illegal, right?), give your whole heart and clear mind to your baby. You won't regret trading one for the other. I didn't.

The sperm count will become lower in a male but it would not stop you from getting pregnant. I know many people who have been around weed and smoked it and still gotten pregnant and their babies are fine.. but I would not recommend it WHILE you are pregnant! It can cause serious damage to the baby! Good luck!

Any type of smoking (cigs marijuana) decreases fertility...If you are trying to conceive a child I would suggest not smoking at all~ Good Luck~

i dunno but i hope you stop while trying to concieve wouldn;t you feel horrible if you smoke a bunch of pot and the next day figure out your pregnant you should want the best for your child or you should wait until you grow up and do want the best for him/her

everyones gonna say its horrible and u cant get pregnant...but i know plenty of people who both the mom and dad smoked weed and still had healthy pregnancies and babies..im not saying u should be doing it, but..ya know

are you serious???...i don't think you should be having kids if your smoking that stuff...think twice about it before you bring that poor kid into the world....and it doesn't matter how it affects it rather whether or not it affects your chances...
