In some smaller bones of the foot, whatever shoe you choose to wear may not interfere in the least bit. stilettos are fine for stabbing, but for general knife work i reccomend a mid length dounble edged spear point like the F.S.(Fairbourne Sykes) commando knife or a good sturdy buck model 119
