I am recieving this error message before the BIOS is loaded up: "The Device in the system modular bay cannot be identified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem. Please read and complete the following steps.

1. Press the device completely and firmly into the bay.

2. Press the ESC-key -- wait for the system to power down.

3. Press the power button to retry detecting the device."

Any ideas?

Remove your optical and/or floppy drives and then boot up your laptop. If the error does not reoccur, either one of the devices was not inserted properly (As the message stated) or it is defective.

Oh, I think I know what your problem is. You have a gigantic piece of bloated, virus-riddled software on your computer.

Oh, and it sounds like a RAM stick or network card is loose. Check that the connections are all secure and try to boot up again.

Are you particular its no longer an overheating difficulty? The table does not relatively ward off it from overheating. and because you're saying that it particularly crashes in video games, its a logical end considering video games require greater means and the pictures card can generate alot of warmth. sense the backside of your pc and notice how warm it relatively is once you run a activity.

Is there any removable device attached to the system? If so, remove it. If not, call a computer repairman.

Is there anything in the bay, like a wireless card? Or is the bay empty? (You omitted that info.)
