For $1500 bucks it seems like a reasonably good deal. It looks like a good bike to learn on. Not too big or powerful. So what if you outgrow it in year and sell it for half price?! You will only be out $750 and gained a world of experience and fun over the summer. I say go for it. Use the money you save to invest in good quality riding gear. Ride safe. Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) manufactures in Japan. Plenty of the parts say 'Made in Japan.' I have never seen 'Made in America' or 'Made in Mexico' on my Kawasaki.
