For $1500 bucks it seems like a reasonably good deal. It looks like a good bike to learn on. Not too big or powerful. So what if you outgrow it in year and sell it for half price?! You will only be out $750 and gained a world of experience and fun over the summer. I say go for it. Use the money you save to invest in good quality riding gear. Ride safe. Start out slow and take it easy. Sign up now for a MSF class if you haven't already done so. Classes fill quick.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) manufactures in Japan. Plenty of the parts say 'Made in Japan.' I have never seen 'Made in America' or 'Made in Mexico' on my Kawasaki.

JAPAN, suzuki, kawasaki, and i thing even yamaha but in not sure on that, and ducati is europion.
