In general, if you want to be involved in politics, you could major in Philosophy, International Relations, Economics etc. These fields are traditionally what people major in before they move on to politics.
You could check the backgrounds of the Senators in your area to see what they majored in to get a better idea of what it takes to be a Senator.
As for where to go to, you can just check the rankings. For example, if you want to major in economics, you would wanna look at the University of Chicago, some ivy league schools etc.
Ideally, you should be majoring in what you feel passionate about, instead of trying to tailor your education to what you think will help you become a Senator. In any case, I don't think there's a specific major you need to have in order to be a Senator.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

There isn't a certain major to becoming a senator ... US history, law, business. These three things would be VERY helpful, especially law. Start by becoming a mayor in your hometown and then work your way up from there. Look up Mark Foley , he's a representative, but he has an interesting story that you might want to look into. He was elected mayor at the age of 18 before even going to college

There is no preferred college major or school that teaches anyone how to be a senator. Maybe political science would be helpful.
Either you have to start at the political bottom and work very hard, or have tons of money.

There is no ONE road to get to Washington. All you have to do is read the various websites and books with biographies of the current US Senate members. But there are a few things that a good number of them have in common:
Many are not only millionaires, but multi-millionaires. (more than 1/3rd of them) People with middle class incomes don't have the ability to even be considered as a senatorial candidate.
The largest single profession listed is "lawyer" or "attorney".But in the senate, two are doctors, and two are veterinarians.
Almost all have some prior experience in local or state or federal government before running for the Senate (39 were former state legislators) .
Most of the current senators represent states where they grew up, and went to college. some went to the best schools in their state, or national universities, the best in the country (15 from Harvard or Harvard Law,7 from Yale, or Yale Law, Half a dozen from Georgetown, U of Virginia or Virginia Law, Stanford.) . It is occasionally possible for someone to move to a different state, succeed, and be elected from a different state; but it helps to be a "hometown boy", who went to the state university of their state, or at least in the state (more than twenty-five) .
The average age , although it varies slightly from year to year, is 60, and many have had several other occupations besides politicians, and have been involved in politics since they were teenagers.
It certainly helps to be very wealthy, and from a wealthy family. It certainly helps to have been from a state that has party members elected to office from your party. It certainly helps to have been a winner in your prior election races, with an understanding in how to run for office, raise money, and deal with constituents. It helps to get to know thousands of people in your state, and get many people in the state know you.
In some states, name recognition is essential, because you represent somewhere between a million and 30 million people as a senator. You cannot meet even a small percentage, and probably have to know how to campaign by television, radio and newspapers.
With a small handful of exceptions, these are the type of people who get to run, and who get elected as a senator.
Good luck.

hmm.. i'd suggest becomming a satanist & going to seminary like all the other satanists. you could claim to be a christian like the various tv preachers of today & help along the 'universal one world religion satanic movement'.
really.
oral roberts, pat robertson, jimmy swaggart, kennith copeland, neil.. somethin or other - there's lots of 'christian' leaders who are masons..
which is weird - since a christian cant JOIN masonry. (by scripture)
that.. and masonry has created the mormons, jehovas witnesses, christian science, scientology, theosophy, wicca (gardner from crowleys notes/oto).. etc. (and i think moonies.. but i haven't found the direct proof yet.. just the $3.5 million they paid to Jerry Fallwell (mason supporter) to maybe help evade taxes.)
dobson is the only 'leading' christian guy i think highly of at the moment- and they've spent millions tryn to trash his rep :P
demolay, jobs daughters, order of the eastern star, demolay (what clinton is in), skull & bones (literal cousins kerry & bush), commandary, aramanth, oto.. etc - if you really wanna sell out, ask around with them guys. marrying one of the 'bloodlines' would probably help your chances by 500% (it can be done)
