My husband says that he won't have sex with me because I could go into labor, and sprem can live up to five days, so, If I have the baby, I could get pregnant. Is this true, or is he just making excuses?

Actually both is true. There are RARE occaisions when an already pregnant woman gets pregnant again. But if he was really all that worried about it, he wouldn't have had sex AT ALL during your pregnancy lol. But I went into labor after having sex... over 110 hours of contractions with NO DIALATING passed 3cm because of the chemical with sperm that can cause labor. I was 38 weeks along, it was my 3rd child. 12 days later I had her.

Okay, sperm do live up to 3-4 days, and yes, if your cervix ripens (which sperm is known to ripen your cervix)then you most definitely can go into labor. But in order to get pregnant again, you would need to deliver and ovulate as the baby is coming down (practically). Think about it, the only way to get pregnant is sperm fertilizing an egg. If you are pregnant, then you are not ovulating because you are not having a menstrual cycle.
To sum up, no, you will not get pregnant. If your Doctor said you can still have sex, than take advantage and enjoy because you really won't be able to after you deliver for atleast 45 days and thats a fact!!
Congrats by the way!

Having sex can start labor if you were going to start labor soon anyway. Yes sperm can live for up to 5 days, but you aren't going to get pregnant the day you have a baby. He may be making excuses, but he may actually believe what he's saying. Inform him that gentle love making isn't going to hurt you or the baby, provided this has been a healthy and uneventful pregnancy so far.

It's not true, sperm does not live that long. He probably is just scared that he might hurt the baby. But there is no chance of you getting pregnant if you have sex while you are pregnant. Try to figure out excatly why he wont have sex with you and tell him the doctor says its ok.

First, I agree with stix. Sex is a terrible thang to waste. I'm surprized your husband has not introduced use of toys to assist sexual activity as pregnancy developed. It isn't too late and the
usage could continue afterward toward the day when you both
may choose to decline future offspring. See your doctor and afterward sit papa-to-be down so the two of you can discuss content of an adult-only toy catalog. This is assuming that
your continued sexual satisfaction is important to him.

You could go into early labor. Yes, it is possible though like one if 5 million chance. Say you have sex today... go into labor and have baby tonight. Body goes wack and drop and egg... sperm somehow gets to it even though your are crazy hooped on ESTRO. Why don't you just use a condom?

no this is not true you will not get pregnant that close to having a baby you will be busy bleeding for 2-6 weeks afterwards and then it'll probably be another month at the very soonest that you would actually get a period longer if you breast feed

The sperm can only survive for a few hours. The only thing you should think about is that if you are very close to your due date it could induce your labor.
