How long after that did you go into labor?? I have been discharging stringy bloody mucusy stuff all day. Is this my plug? And is labor close? 39 weeks

Yes, this could very well be you losing your mucous plug. Going into labor could vary it could be quickly or maybe even a few days. Are you having contractions? If you want to be on the safe side, go to Labor and Delivery.

I lost mine w/ my second,but I never went into labor,I was induced about 5 days after I lost it!

yes it is your plug ..that means labor is near but it could be tonight , tomarrow ..or it can be weeks before you go in the labor i would call your doctor and give them a heads up thow

very close, it scared me at first but everyone says it is normal, i lost mine at about 3 in the mornign when i got up to go pee, and then went into labor 9 that night...congrats and good luck!

Very close! I had 'bloody show' the day before I went into labour with my first (none with my second). How exciting!

It took me 2 days... I ended up having to be induced though because my water broke and my daughter already soiled the amniotic fluid.

I lost my plug and 2 weeks later they had to INDUCE.
