there are a number of reasons why your eye could be red in just part of it. one you could have gotten something in your eye to irratate it. two you could have high blood pressure and the veins in your eye are trying to compensate for it. your eyes could also be under alot of stress from looking at a tv or computor or anything of that nature and it could cause the veins in your eyes to show. or you could have ruptured a blood vessel in your eye. this will cause the redness in your eye and the veins to show. last thing that could be wrong is that you have conjunctivitis which is an infection in the conjunctiva of your eye(the white area) it is hard to tell what may be wrong without knowing more symptoms. in any case you should get it checked out by a medical professional. if there is something wrong with your eye it could lead to further complications.

if the eye is partly red, after you rubbed it thats where it came from. Otherwise did someone blow into your eye, lick it, or did you clean without wearing googles? Dirt is Dirt, including germs.
Worse if you use contacts...prescription eye glass, and 'shades' need regular washing not just wipes.
Yellowish eyes, indicate the person drank beer, smoked or did not pee all day. Your liver is working extra hard like your kidneys, so hard your eyes changed color including your liver skin spots. Day light not light bulbs. Use eye drops if this happens so many times, related to your work or environment.

You could have broken a blood vessel in the eye, but I doubt you did, because if you had, it would have hurt like hell.
So I would just leave your eye alone for a few days, and if the redness doesn't go down, then you should see a doctor.

It could be a number of things. If it is extremely red it may be due to high blood pressure. Please get it checked out! It may even be something simple, but you want to be sure.
