It's the timer setting on the fryer, and imported steel blades used in the cutting of the potatoes.
The salt is from a region in the north of france that is known for the most tastiest salt, which they then grind fine like popcorn salt, so it is more like dust and covers more fry.
The new oil will be palm oil, so technically you won't have transfatty acids, but if the fries get cold, they will all stick together like they would in cold crisco.
Eat Hearty!
When in the south, try the fries at Shoney's and Captain D's. They are even better!!!

It's because they taste and smell so good. I can't tell any difference in the no trans-fat foods and they are better for you. I buy everything now with no trans fats.

I don't know about that because I prefer BK's fries better, but the cheeseburgers from McD's better. I know that once they change from trans fat to no transfat, it better taste just as good or I will refuse to eat there again.

Every fast food item has a special signature chemical which gives it it's flavor. Most of these chemicals are developed in factories in New Jersey. I think it's disgusting. Also, McDonalds adds beef fat to their fries. (That's what "natural flavor" means in the nutrition info.)
Read Fast Food Nation if you want to know more.

I can't keep my hand out of the bag before I get home because if I wait they will not be hot anymore. Once they start losing warmth, they taste awful....I mean AWFUL, so I HAVE to eat them all before I get home.

I think it is because they are long and skinny and not too firm. My guess is with the proper research, they will do just fine with their new recipe. I am sure they have spent millions of dollars researching this issue. They cannot afford to mess it up.

MSG is the reason you are addicted (it is like nicotine for food)
Transfat are the type of fats that cause health problems. My teacher told me it is the type of fat that does not come out of the body
